In addition to the works received with free themes, v. 20 n. 2 from Revista Música presents the dossier “Music in quarantine”, which gathers articles and reports selected by the invited publishers, with reflections and experiences of musicians and music teachers, regarding the musical activities (pedagogical, artistic, and therapeutic) carried out during the quarantine decreed since March 2020 (in Brazil), when face-to-face classes and musical performances were banned because of measures to contain the Coronavirus pandemic worldwide. The dossier is divided into three sub-areas of interest: Musical Education, coordinated by Dr. Magali Kleber and Dr. Luciane Garbosa; Musical Performance, coordinated by Dr. Sonia Ray; Musician's health and emotions, coordinated by Dr. Luciane Cuervo.

This edition also features two translations of referential texts, "Ethnomusicology" by Jean-Jacques Nattiez and "Sacred and profane in music", by Thrasybulos Georgiades. This volume closes the account of the composer Harry Crowl on the creation of his string quartet No. 3, with SATB choir, "Corona", a musical reflection on the pandemic and its human impact.

Contributions are from researchers from different regions of Brazil and abroad.
