This article conceptualizes the field of communication/education as privileged space for educators, specially teachers, performance introducing it as a locus in the formation of social meanings. Theauthor lists other features and shows that communication/education is much more than taking students to make television newscasts, reproducing what already exists.
Affirms that the communicative practices within the school, to move in the direction of changes, should result from the effective
knowledge of that field, enabling individuals to face the media and the world with a critical posture.
