The objective of the first part of this article is to resume the discussion on the conceptual basis and Freire’s theoretical framework underlying the interrelationship communication/education or the neologism, educational communication. Above all, let us be guided by Venício A. de Lima study about contributions on Paulo Freire’s ideas. In the second part, we fulfill the objective of presenting the articles and the authors of this edition of Communication & Education.
