Abstract

Henry Jenkins is one of the most important contemporary authorities within the field of media research. Professor at University of Southern California (UCS), Jenkins is the head of innovating research about collaborative subjects, involving young people and principally media convergence, and has twelve published articles to his name. In this interview, the author emphasizes that there is a conduction of politics through YouTube but not within it. The researcher warns about comments posted in videos that don’t respect dissent and differences, thereby sometimes creating a hostile place on the web.
