Melanoma da mucosa nasal e dos seios paranasais

Resumen

Introdução: O melanoma nasosinusal consiste em um tumor raro de alta agressividade e elevado potencial metastático. É um tumor maligno originado a partir dos melanócitos presentes na mucosa nasal e atinge, principalmente, a região da parede nasal lateral, septo nasal e concha nasal inferior; e em menor frequência a região dos seios paranasais. Apresenta também elevado potencial redicivante sendo mais prevalente entre a sétima e a oitava décadas de vida e acomete ligeiramente mais o sexo feminino. Relato de caso: O presente estudo relata melanoma nasossinusal em paciente do sexo feminino, 73 anos. A paciente compareceu ao serviço de otorrinolaringologia com relato de diagnóstico de melanoma endonasal tratado cirurgicamente e com imunoterapia há 1,5 anos. Queixava recidiva do tumor sendo submetida a outra cirurgia para ressecção total da lesão e posterior terapêutica com radioterapia. Mesmo com o tratamento adequado, houve recidiva local e metástases após 8 meses. A paciente foi encaminhada para o serviço de cuidados paliativos. Conclusão: O diagnóstico precoce e tratamento adequados são fundamentais, apesar de nem sempre levarem à cura da doença devido à alta agressividade do tumor.
