Resumo

O suicídio é um problema de saúde pública mundialmente, com importante impacto socioeconômico. A identificação e prevenção de tentativas de suicídio devem ser feitas por todos os médicos nos diversos cenários em que atuam. Dessa forma, este artigo visa elucidar as principais informações a respeito de risco suicida, como fazer tal avaliação e determinar a conduta adequada para cada caso.
