Abstract

This article aims to analyze the application of accessibility standards in shopping malls. For this reason, the research is conducted with a focus on administrative law, by analyzing the modalities of State restriction on private property, more precisely, the administrative limitations. In general, the objective is to examine: (i) the concept of the term "person with disabilities"; (ii) the performance of Public Administration in the realization of the fundamental rights of this social group; (iii) the contextualization of shopping centers in the Brazilian legal system. The methodology used is a descriptive-analytical study, developed through bibliographical, legislative and jurisprudential analysis.
