The present text deals with the form of judgment in Hölderlin and Hegel, focusing mainly on its moments of division and unity. Primarily, both unity and division are related here to topics of love that were developed in the 18th century. Judgment is analyzed within Hegel's Science of Logic and Hölderlin's prefaces of the novel Hyperion and his text "Judgment and Being". The analysis aims to show the connections between these two moments of judgment in the aforementioned texts, the ones which explore the relationships between the categories of singular, particular and universal. Considering these relationships, an interpretation of Hyperion is proposed.Downloads
