Fractura en la Excelencia: la supresión de las ambigüedades de las Relaciones Públicas

Resumen

Al reconocer la acumulación de críticas sociales sobre las prácticas de relaciones públicas abusivas, el artículo refleja, sobre la base de una amplia revisión bibliográfica, sobre las razones por las cuales dicho tema ocupa un lugar periférico en los estudios académicos del área. Aborda cómo el modelo paradigmático adoptado por el campo, la Excelencia, limita los estudios sobre prácticas controvertidas debido a un enfoque evolutivo funcional que vincula eficiencia, complejidad y ética, minimizando los intentos de explorar los impactos de las relaciones públicas en la formación del mundo contemporáneo.

    Doutor em Comunicação Social pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG).
    Mestre em Comunicação Social pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG).
    Pesquisador associado do Grupo de Pesquisa em Comunicação, Mobilização Social e Opinião Pública (Mobiliza/UFMG). Autor de Astroturfing: lógicas e dinâmicas de manifestações de públicos simulados (selo PPGCOM-UFMG).
