Abstract

The iconomic vision and its corresponding human development policies with large scale opportunities associated with creativeand audiovisual economics becomes a critical element to overcome the contemporary crisis in a context of geopoliticalviolence, particularly reconciling the participation of vulnerable populations in their cultural dimension as global peripheries.This essay consolidates three dimensions of this process: the conceptualization of iconomics and its monetary dimension asa digital ludic trend in the current digital capitalist scenario (with the potential emergency of creative games and currenciesas instruments of social and economic transformation; the historical revision of the “City of knowledge” project initiatedat the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo (IEA-USP) in 2001, marked by the sponsorship of digitalprojects incubation initiatives, fostering networks and curatorships which have culminated in the “Iconomy” project in 2015, aspin-off incubation framework led by conceptual as well as technological and political principles outlined in the conclusion,reaffirming the potential for interdisciplinary integration in digital creative economics research.
