Analyzes the superhero subgenre within the comic books. Initially, describes the distinctive classes of hero, superhero and antihero. Later, it proposes the inclusion of two new sub-categories: over-hero and poser-hero. The theoretical framework underlying the critical study of comics is extracted from the literature on sequential art. The expressed conceptual proposition comes from the original combination of two methods, redescription and misreading, respectively, created in the neo-pragmatism of the philosopher Richard Rorty and in the poetic theory of literary critic Harold Bloom.
