The paper analyzes the characteristics and the role played by the CILS, Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language of the Università per Stranieri di Siena in the diffusion of Italian language and culture within the global linguistic space of Italian language. The paper analyzes the individual and social impact of the CILS Certification, also relating to the impact in the educational context and in a culture of evaluation and assessment.Downloads
