According to Adorno, the most important task of education after Auschwitz is to avoid the recurrence of the nazifascist barbarity.However, if we take into consideration the situation of capitalism in the post war period, as identified by Adorno himself, wouldn’t every educative endeavour fated to fail? What hope can education keep while still understood as emancipatory?
