Current analysis shows that Clarice Lispector´s short story “Miss Algrave” may be interpreted by the theory of the Fantastic proposed by Tzvetan Todorov (1981). Anteceding the annunciated approach, the presence of the unusual in the author´s fiction and other characteristics proper to her short stories should be underscored. The importance of the A via crucis do corpo, a collection in which the short story is inserted and marked by its uniqueness when seen within the context of the author´s literary works, may be highlighted.
