Usos e limites da teoria da escolha racional da religião

Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar e analisar as principais concepções teóricas propostas por Rodney Stark, Roger Finke e Laurence Iannaccone, formuladores da teoria da escolha racional da religião. Sem pretender ser exaustivo, enfoca suas inovações e limitações, e o debate teórico que suscitaram, examinando as noções de racionalidade, desregulação estatal da religião, monopólio, pluralismo, competição, mercado, oferta, demanda e stricteness.
