Postgraduate stricto sensu has become a privileged formative space for professional enhancement with a perspective on strengthening the Unified Health System. In this context, Interprofessional Education stands out as a potent strategy for transforming health work. This article analyzed the perceptions of teaching staff based on their experience in the Interprofessional Health Education discipline within the context of postgraduate stricto sensu programs. It is a descriptive-analytical qualitative research with seven teaching staff participating in the discipline, from two Postgraduate Programs at a federal university. Empathy mapping was used for self-assessment of the discipline as a guiding tool for narrative construction. Content was analyzed thematically. The discipline proved to be an innovative and pioneering proposal within the postgraduate stricto sensu context, contributing to the discussion on professional training in the health-education binomial and the development of collaborative competencies, equipping postgraduates to act as disseminators of interprofessional principles and assumptions. Through experiencing such a powerful endeavor, the teachers' perception suggests that the discipline could represent a significant front for the diffusion of Interprofessional Education in the country, contributing to effective transformations in health education and work.
