Abstract

During the fifties the “Semanas Brasileiras de Debates Científicos” were important events that assembled undergraduate students in Medicine coming together from all around Brazil to report and discuss the results of their scientific initiation research work done out of the curricular graduate studies. This paper evokes the congress organized in Ribeirão Preto (São Paulo State, Brazil) during 1959 by the Centro Acadêmico ‘Rocha Lima’, the local representative association of students in Medicine and where participate some of the current days more prominents brazilian scientists.
