There are relatively few published studies involving the eye health of indigenous peoples of Brazil. The purpose of this paper is to present the current situation based on a narrative review, covering the period from 1897 to today, with most publications involving the indigenous population living in the Amazon region of Brazil. Comparisons between them are difficult because of the variety of methods. Therefore, it is crucial to perform systematic and continuous evaluations so that they can re-orient public policies towards the improvement of the eye health of these populationsDownloads
