Abstract

This paper discuss the presence of the Eng. Joseph Stübben’s ideas, in Eng. Benno Hofmann’s discourse, graduated in Berlin in 1916. Following the evidences presented in Hofmann’s article, published in 1925 on EGATEA, it was found a relationship with the book “Der Städtebau”, by Stübben (1890). The comparision of the texts shows many similarities between both, checking issues like width and length of streets or their monotony, which was discussed by Stübben and clearly appropriated by Hofmann in his speech.
