Resumen

This article is a reflection developed on the conceptual domain about what can be understood by minority groups (or minorities) and vulnerable groups, concerning two issues, being the first what is meant by (in)tolerance and the other about the ideological issues that underlie a discourse that has become increasingly common in Brazil: the hate discourse, with impacts on the behavioral sphere that are not consistent either with the democratic ideals nor with the respect for human dignity.
