Abstract

Dealing with a particular subject - The Emperor's Museum - this article intends to articulate the idea of a monarchical and symbolical power. It was at this place that the Emperor, Pedro II, used to meet scientist and used to show himself as one of them. In this place, also, the king practiced the art of classification, introducing series and other forms of understanding of the world.
