Two animals with symptoms of digestive disorders one from Embu city and another one from Presidente Prudente city both from State of São Paulo presented under parasitological examination of their feces eggs of Toxascaris leonina. One of these dogs received Pyrantel pamoate as treatment and the worms expelled by medication were collected for examination. A third animal a stray dog had its feces examined each day. The latter also with symptoms of digestive disorders was killed after 33 days of captivity when eggs of T. leonina were detected in its feces. Morphological studies of worms obtained from these two dogs confirmed that eggs observed before were eggs of T. leonina.
