Planned management and fertility control in a Nelore herd. II. Period from 2.9.1976 to 1.9.1977

Reproductive performance o f a Nelore herd, raised in Campinas, Brazil is studied on its second year after a fertility control and herd management program was implanted. Analisys of data revealed that: a) 1st. IA conception rate was 65.9%; b) services per conception was 1.4; c) average interval from calving to next estrous was 73.5 days; d) average interval from calving to
conception was 88.7 days, resulting in shorter calving interval (378.7 days), less open days and greater number of calving.
