The AA. register the natural infestation, by D. hominis, of all water-buffaloes of a herd, in Campo Florido, Minas Gerais, Brasil. There were animals of different ages, from three months to four years. This seems to be the first finding of the water-buffalo as a host for this species of parasite, in Southern Brazil.
