The AA. examined the applicability of Fiske-Subbarow, Renedicl-Theis and R. S. Pereira methods to the determination of inorganic phosphates in horse blood. Using one single sample of scrum, they made a series oj determinations, according to those methods, in order to observe the variations relative to each one. After this the recovery capacity of the methods was studied by adding to the scrum, known amounts of phosphorus, before respective determinations were made. Statistical analyses oj the data obtained (T-test and F-tesl), suggests that, under the experimental conditions, the Fiske-Subbarow method has to be chosen became it offers results of reliability. The recovery in the Benedict-Theis method was found of statistical significance in view of the theoric values to be expected (T-testi).Downloads
