Themes of the present article: Reproductions for use by libraires and public archives; the SIR, Information and Reprography service from the Library and Documentation Division of the University of São Paulo, microfilming, its legislation and relationship with the rights of the author and UMI, University Microfilms International. The "Comut", a bibliographical computer program, the service of selective dissemination of information (SDI), its system and ways to use it. Problems related to the rights of the author and the mentioned program.
