The Wauja ceramics is the most elaborate class of artifacts in the Upper Xingu system of objects. Their types varies from very little recipients to 115 cm diameter bowls. This article describes the native classificatory system of the ceramics and its general pattern of fabrication focusing on Wauja perceptions of the technical and aesthetic qualities of the bowls.Downloads
