Experiencing Sounds in Ancient Spaces: An Overview

Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar estudos recentes que têm levantado novas hipóteses sobre arqueomusicologia, arqueoacústica e arquitetura como uma tendência emergente na pesquisa em humanidades, com um foco particular na intersecção de performances musicais, espaços teatrais e experiência sonora no passado. Esses estudos destacaram como os edifícios teatrais não apenas definiram um lugar para as apresentações, mas também estabeleceram o cenário para eventos multissensoriais nos quais a música, a dança e outros eventos sonoros desempenharam um papel importante. Esta visão geral também leva em consideração como as tecnologias digitais podem ajudar a moldar nossa compreensão do nexo arquitetura-som.
