This paper deals with the various research projects undertaken in Colonia del Sacramento (Uruguay). It is both an Urban as well as a Historical Archaeology Project. It was done in the city itself, founded by the Portuguese in 1680 and later owned buy the Spaniards for another century. The historical period starting in the 16th century is being studied. The evolution of the Urban development was our main objective and new methodologies were implemented.Downloads
