Abstract

Urban settlements change and harm the natural ecosystem, making necessary to create guidelines of social environmental and economic planning for the development of sustainable projects. Biodiversity and regional tourism are considered as essential factors for strengthening urban resilience in the cities Itu, Salto and Cabreúva ,which are located in a region with great tourist potential because they belong to the Roteiro dos Bandeirantes¹ (Bandeirantes’ Route), with a rich landscape and natural heritage, offering conditions to develop proposals of sustainable urban planning to collaborate with possible assistance to State and Local government agencies in the formulation and revision of master plans as well as to contribute with the enhancing of potentialities of the regional cities.
