Environmental and social services of the green infrastructure should be studied and valued in order to understand the importance of this system. Based upon a relational database created from the georeferenced inventory of trees of the Ibirapuera Park , this valuation was obtained by calculating the monetary value of every tree specimen, which considers size, general condition, location, biometric data and frequency rates of the species at the inventoried site. By fixing a price for every specimen the aim was to support directors on the management priorities. The market values were set by organizing the individual in classes of value and locating especially the most valuable specimens. Knowing the value of each specimen, as the most valuable Cedro Rosa (Cedrela fissilis Vell.) on the jogging track, can stimulate the attendee on understanding the importance of conservation and proper management of urban green infrastructure which helps improving life quality and represents high economic value to the government in the form of green heritage.
