Abstract

From recent studies in the field of Historiography and History of Brazilian Education, we have selected two temporal markers that can also be indicators for a pedagogy as a science, which are the Jesuit pedagogy, which comes from the pioneerism of a teaching organization in Brazil founded by Pompa and Hilsdorf and Anisian pedagogy, of the new pedagogy represented by Anísio Teixeira. The bibliographical study shows that historiography and the History of Education will testify that both Jesuitical pedagogy and Anisian pedagogy bring in their core characteristics of the scientificity of education from a form of methodological, epistemological organization and the relations between the subjects which are socio-historical and cultural beings, that is, since the Jesuits pedagogy was already constituted as a science of education, as a pedagogy of science, therefore, historical and social.
