This article discusses the mismatch between biological rhythms and social rhythms emerging since the Industrial Revolution. In this way, it presents evidences of rhythmic changes in recent decades, developing a continuous and profound process of sociocultural acceleration and mechanization, predominant in capitalist system. Then, it discusses the relationship between biological rhythms and social rhythms, with the acquired conceptual contribution of chronobiology. Finally, shows the emergence and consolidation of the Slow Movement in recent decades, becoming a sign of temporal dislocation experienced today
