Author Biography

  • Florencia Ferrari, Universidade de São Paulo
    Graduada em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade de São Paulo (1997), defendeu o mestrado em Antropologia Social com a dissertação Um olhar oblíquo contribuições sobre o imaginário ocidental sobre o cigano (USP, 2002) e o doutorado em junho de 2010 com a tese O mundo passa uma etnografia dos ciganos Calon e suas relações com os brasileiros , no mesmo departamento com bolsa da Fapesp e bolsa sanduíche no Department of Anthropology do University College of London, na posição de Honorary Research Assistant de março de 2008 a agosto de 2009, coberto pela Bolsa Alban e pela Fapesp. É membro do corpo editorial da Revista Sexta Feira - antropologia artes e humanidades e coordenadora editorial de antropologia na Cosac Naify, onde editou autores clássicos como Marcel Mauss, Pierre Clastres e Lévi-Strauss, e contemporâneos como Eduardo Viveiros de Castro, Manuela Carneiro da Cunha e Roy Wagner. Publicou o livro Palavra cigana - seis contos nômades (Cosac Naify, 2005), com o qual recebeu o prêmio Figueiredo Pimentel de Melhor livro reconto de 2005, da Fundação Nacional do Livro Infanto-Juvenil.
