Abstract

This essay attempts to give an overview of the polemics around the movie Fight Club, treating some issues that intertwine with the question of violence in contemporary society. From there on it attempts to establish relations not only with the movie esthetics produced by director David Fincher, but also with possible perspectives that this movie could become a more accurate problematic of what Zizek called deserting reality.
