From the references and experiences of the director-playwright Samuel Beckett and the Polish director Tadeusz Kantor, we present reflections and notes about the acting work. At the same time that certain principles and strategies defended by the two artists are shown – such as the contempt for the naturalistic tradition –, it is also part of the idea that they do not always converge, such as the actor’s relationship with the text. These and other aspects are seen as challenges for the actor, due to the various tendencies of contemporary theater.Downloads
