Augochloropsis (Glyptochlora) Moure is a morphologically homogeneous and rare subgenus of Augochlorini, endemic to the Amazon Basin. So far, the subgenus was known only from females. Herein, we identified and studied the male of Augochloropsis (Glyptochlora) peruviana Celis & Melo. This specimen represents the first opportunity to document the male morphology of Augochloropsis (Glyptochlora). In addition to the description of the male, including genital capsule and metasomal sterna, we provide an updated diagnosis for A. (Glyptochlora).
