Abstract

The comics from Bahia State of the 90s had a very favorable cultural moment to ascending artists such as: Flávio Luiz, Luís Augusto, Marlon Tenório, André Leal and Hélio Rogério. These artists had their media visibility through the largest circulation newspapers in Bahia. Beyond these media, they had published their own works and were awarded in expositions and contests. In this scenario of few available information about these cartoonist nationwide, this article aims to create a historical overview of these artists’ productions through some of their emblematic peaces.
