About the Journal

Why publish in Leviathan:

1. Open Access. Your article will be available to all interested parties, with no access restriction. This implies a greater reach of its production.
2. Speed ​​in publication. The entire process of submission, review and publication decision is carried out by the OJS Journals USP system. Evaluation and publication times have been very short. Since 2011, the median response to the review has been 96.5 days, with an average of 123.6 days, without prejudice to the blind-review peer review process. 3. Multi-languages. Articles are evaluated and published in the language in which they are submitted: currently, Portuguese, Spanish and English. This has allowed great diversity of authors and authors and good online dissemination.

 

Criteria for publishing on Leviathan

There are three main ways to contribute to Leviathan:

1. Regular contributions (original articles);
2. Book reviews, literature reviews, software or databases;
3. Research Notes.

We also publish translations, which can be suggested to editors. The translations are not necessarily from English or Spanish into Portuguese, translations of texts into any of the languages ​​in question may be suggested.

 

Peer Review Process

All contributions submitted to Leviathan will be peer reviewed.

 

Frequency

The publication is semiannual, online and open access.

The facility provided by electronic editing is that the author does not need to wait for the call for articles to send their contribution. It will be received and will enter our submission queue at the exact moment it is submitted.
Once the paper is accepted, we will inform the author about the expected publication of his work.
