One of the most successful works in the field of History of Science in Brazil, “A Matemática no Brasil” was published four times over 30 years. A classic that remains actual due to new edition by Blücher Editor. This review highlights the most significant points of this work and its textual and material characteristics, emphasize the importance of republishing works like this for the diffusion of the field.
