Abstract

The aim of this paper is to report the Degree Course (“Licenciatura”) in Science offered in distance education mode and discuss the sense of teacher training for science teaching. The conception of this course has the integrated and interdisciplinary perspective on the undergraduate curriculum as a challenge. The modular curriculum structure was organized through blocks of contents and activities, covering various aspects of teacher education. From the experience we had with this course we are convinced that teaching science for future teachers through distance education can be as efficient as a classic classroom course and still produce a large educational material collection
