Abstract

Graph representation of variables have a dual propose: the first is related to time and space variations and the second to its didactic character. Climatic elements (air and soil temperatures, relative humidity, global solar radiation (diffuse and direct), radiation balance (short wave and long wave), wind (direction and velocity), atmospheric pressure, rain indices and others) display a certain characteristic curve that represents place, time weather conditions of a given region throughout the days, months and years. The factors that differentiate one place from another, in climactic terms, is the variation amplitude of the atmospheric elements in time and space. For instance, the daily curve of solar radiation levels on the earth surface is identical for two places on different latitudes. The amplitude of maximum values and total energy integrated throughout the day and the year differentiate them. The aim of current research is the representation of curves of the main climate elements with instantaneous daily and seasonal variations of the climatic conditions in the cities of Botucatu SP and Maringá PR Brazil.
