Brazil is one of the largest fresh water reserve countries, with 13.8% of the average world ú- vio and a per capita water availability ranging from 1,835 m3 / person / year in the hydrographic basin ca East Atlantic, 628,938 m3 / person / year in the Amazon basin. The availability of water is extremely unequal fact, opposing the North, the most gifted, the Northeast, whose interior is marked by a semi-arid climate, to which is added the permeable soil, which leads to frequent intermittence of rivers. The presence of large aquifers mitigates this ITC, but only partially. It is known that 68.5% of available water in Brazil are in the Amazon and 15.7% in the Midwest, the least populated regions, while the three most populated areas have only 6.5% (South), 6% ( southeast) and 3.3% (Northeast) of water resources. The crisis that now affects São Paulo is not only conjectural, but structurally related to the fact that the state is very populous and yet to have one of the world and with very low water cities.Downloads
