The theme of this paper is the textual progression in written texts produced in the context of Basic Education. The aim in this study is to investigate, under the action-research methodology, the process of qualification in textual production of a Basic Education student, focusing on textual progression, more specifically, on the referential progression. The corpus consists of texts written by students, collected in Portuguese language workshops developed in a public school in Santa Maria - RS. The theoretical support is based on the verbal interaction, defended by Bakhtin (1997; 2014); and from the perspective of Textual Linguistics. Three written texts will be analyzed as the corpus in dissertation Qualification of text progression in text production workshops. The results show that, in the course of the text production workshops, significant advances regarding referential progression were achieved.
