Abstract

Due to the absence of the working man and woman from the domestic environment, the family relies on the assistance of a caretaker, who also participates in the psychological geography of the child. It considers a theoretical-practical discussion of the caretaker effects on child's subjective constitution. The discussion is based on two clinical cases. In the first case, the caretaker occupies a maternal role, in the second she plays a paternally significant role. In conclusion, the ethical implications of psychoanalysis are considered, and the influence of the caretaker in the family configuration and, above all, on the child.
