Abstract

Faced with the increasing demand for evaluation and treatment of cases of suspected child sexual abuse
in health institutions, this article discusses the challenge facing the psychoanalyst when he is in position
to respond to such demands, considering the discourse they are based on. The theme implies, therefore,
asking this discourse in advance, which leads to questioning the conjunction of subjective between responsibility and legal liability, as well as between clinical practice and expert testimony, of issues concerning
the relationship between knowledge and truth and of the approach of the child as object and subject.
