Abstract

This paper investigates the interactions between babies and young children indicating the possibilities of a participation in psychic constitution and development. These subjects were named “similar toddlers” and defined in constitutional terms. A literature review of psychoanalytic theory was performed, based on three main authors: Freud, Lacan, and Winnicott. This review was confronted with observation data of developmental psychology. We conclude that similar toddlers interact and form pre-group and group organizations marked by identification, aggression, and cooperation, as well as having a unique and differential participation in the psychic constitution and development, better defined as the genesis of social feelings.
