Abstract

Based on the vision of the scholar Kato Shuichi (2007) that defends a focus in here = now in the Japanese culture and demonstrated how this characteristics appears in the linguistics options in the literature works that he analyses, this paper aims to do some reflections around the focus in the present time in the Japanese literature. Then, using works about different authors and different times, we intend to do commentaries about the final of some novels that creates an impression that they don’t have a conclusion or that the novel to be continue same as the poem waka when it uses a stylistic recourse known as yoin
