Abstract

A considerable part of the literature historians has analyzed and interpreted some epics without taking into account the precepts of the genre and the perspective which they were designed. The way that The Lusiads (1572) was discussed until recently is symptomatic of a biased way of reading. This review aims to present Heroísmo na singradura dos mares (2018), which results from the doctoral thesis of historian Cleber Vinicius doe Amaral Felipe, which was developed at the Federal University of Uberlândia.
