Border transit: the contemporary faces of the Bolivian population displacement based on the narratives of migration studies’ researchers

This article establishes a dialogue with Bolivian intellectuals’ interviewsthat resulted from the master thesis, for which a total of twenty seven lifestories was collected. This article will cover the analysis of the discourses ofBolivian intellectuals about the process of the displacement of Bolivianimmigrants in the contemporary period. Thus, their narratives will be analyzedbased on a dialogue with their lines of argumentation emphasizing the Boliviandiaspora, the feminization of immigration and the new family constitution inthe context of migration. The aim is to inquire about the plurality of interpretativediscourses on the process of Bolivians displacement in Latin- Americancontext, in order to thereby ensure the diversity of positions on this event. Thisprocess will support reflective thinking on the historicity of contemporarydisplacements.Downloads
